Event Info: |
Cape Coral is home to the largest known
population of the Florida BURROWING OWL which is now a threatened
species. These pint-sized birds burrow underground where they nest from
early February through mid-July and are now the official city bird of
Cape Coral. Please join us for this family fun-filled event which
celebrates the start of the burrowing owl nesting season and all of Cape
Coral’s natural wildlife treasures. Festival highlights will include
environmental and wildlife organizations with educational exhibits and
live animals, burrowing owl informative exhibits, presentations by
environmental and wildlife speakers, live Florida animal presentations,
tours of our butterfly house, flora and fauna tours of the park and Owl
and photography bus tours in Cape Coral. Children will enjoy the arts
and crafts. There will be artists, photographers and craft vendors of
all things natural, native and wild with many will have items for sale.
You will also enjoy on site music, food and business vendors. |
