The aroma of freshly
cooked chicken wings will fill the air in Laishley Park in Punta Gorda
on April 5th, 2025! That’s when the Annual Southwest Florida WingFest &
Craft Beer Festival comes to Punta Gorda. Up to 12 Chicken Wing Teams
will set up their Wing booths in Laishley Park, Punta Gorda in an effort
to persuade the judges and the general public that their Wings are King!
The teams may consist of friends, family, service organizations, clubs,
non-profits, businesses, or just about anyone who has the desire to make
great wings. Download Wing Team registration forms online at
www.puntagordawingfest.com.
Wings will be the focus of the day and it will be scored by a panel of
judges that will taste test samples from each of the teams. Judges will
score wing samples on a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being the best. There
are 3 categories for wings (Hot, Mild, & Unique) with a $500 prize for
the best wing in each category. There will also be a $500 Award for
People’s Choice – Best overall wing. Each attendee will receive a voting
token when they enter through the main gate. Collect as many of those
voting tokens from people visiting your booth as you can! The Team with
the most tokens wins the coveted People’s Choice Award and $500!
People’s Choice Tokens will be collected at 4:00pm with the winner
announced at the Award Ceremony at 5:30pm on the main stage. What goes
better with Wings than ice-cold beer? A Full bar as well as beer
stations will be available to cool the heat! In addition to the Wings &
Beer, there will be plenty of Merchandise vendors will be on hand as
well as other food vendors when you’re ready to take a break from all
those Chicken wings. Gates open at Noon Live music begins at 1:00pm with
local favorites- JJ & The Bad Habits Back by popular demand – The Marty
Marty Mosstones will take the stage next followed by our headliners
