It's Gonna Be Sand-Tastic! Come join us on Fort Myers Beach for the 33rd Annual American Sandsculpting Championship and Beach Festival! Last year’s event featured 16 sculptors from three continents. This year’s Championship promises to be even more exciting and will be the largest sand sculpting competition in the State. Attendees will have the opportunity to view up to 40 works of art on display throughout the event. This is a fun-filled event that will include World Class Master Sand Sculptors, an Advanced Amateur State Championship contest, Amateur contest, Quick Sand Speed Sculpting, Sand Sculpting Demonstrations, a kids activity area with bounce houses and slides, and more than 50 vendors. What's Happening: The event takes place for 10 days this year. The first week features the Master Solos and Amateur divisions and the second week features the Master Doubles and Advanced Amateur State Championship divisions. In all more than 25 sand sculptors and hundreds of amateurs will participate in the event. Awards ceremonies are scheduled for Sunday November 18th and also Sunday November 25th. In all over 2000 tons of sand will be piled and sculpted! The final Saturday of the festival will feature a special viewing called “Sand Under The Stars”. From 6-9pm the sculptures will be illuminated in a spectacular display under the night sky. Don't miss out on what's sure to be the best event on Fort Myers Beach this season.
