The
Kiwanis Club of Riverdale is pleased to announce the Twentieth
Annual Kiwanis Medieval Faire. The Faire will feature Jousters,
Jugglers, and Minstrels: a Human Chess Match to Sharpen the Wits, Games
to Challenge your Skills, Rides to make your Heart race, and Merchants
from the Ends of the Earth with Wares both Rare and Unique, all in an
air of Nobler Times when Chivalry was in Full Flower. We feature Men in
Tights, Bawdy Wenches, Lords & Ladies, Rogues & Rapscallions, Leather
and Lace. All weapons must be sheathed and peace-tied, no unmasked
blades will be permitted. There will be Food and Drink fit for a King,
and Entertainment to Divert the Mind and Soothe the Humors. We have a
new food vendor this year, who will bring a whole new level of
historical delicacies to tempt your palate! The Kiwanis Club of
Riverdale will be hosting a Tavern with covered seating and live
entertainment, so come enjoy Ale, Wine, or Meade, a Song, and the
Atmosphere! We invite you to come join us in this Celebration of an Age
of Pageantry and Nobility, of Valiant Causes and Noble Deeds. This is a
family event, and our prices are intended to encourage parents to bring
their children out for a day of wonder & merriment. There is ample free
parking at the park, as well as ATMs at the gate and inside the faire
grounds. |
