Christkindlmarkt was originally created in the 16th Century in Nuremberg, Germany as one of the first outdoor holiday markets of its kind and is a cherished German Christmas tradition for the whole family. With exclusive vendors selling unique holiday gifts, holiday horse drawn wagon ride, festival of lights, holiday express train rides, authentic German & international foods, traditional beer garden atmosphere with holiday cheer-beer, wine & Gluhwein, Games & rides for the kids, caroling & entertainment featuring: Teresa Mayer & Petra Klos, Hofenkapelle, Edelweiss Chorus, Peter Dee and special appearances by the local dance team Hot Flashz Dancers. This is a Free Community Event; bring the kids to meet Santa. Traditional German handcrafted vendors showcase their shopping treasures. The event will also showcase vendors with other items for a full Christmas shopping experience. The German American Social Club of Cape Coral Floirda is duplicating Christkindlmarkt a German festival to let families in our area create their own holiday traditions and to showcase unique Christmas gifts by providing high quality gifts, food, holiday cheer and family entertainment.
